Adding a winch to your Wrangler is an absolute must if you'll be taking on anything tougher than beginner trails. By using a large tree or other sturdy object, you can carefully pull your Wrangler out of a stuck situation. Be sure you know how to properly use your kit before installing it on your vehicle.

Recovery ropes or straps can be just as helpful for getting unstuck. By attaching them to a point on your Wrangler, usually a D-ring, you can be pulled by another 4x4 back onto safe ground. A hitch receiver can also be used as a hook-up point.
