2010 Mustang Parts

After few changes were made the previous year, many 2010 Ford Mustang parts were dramatically changed. The biggest change to 2010 Mustang parts was the exterior restyling that the car received, making it look both more retro and more contemporary than the preceding models, according to many reviewers. Most of the 10 Mustang parts in the interior were completely redesigned and upgraded as well, settling a criticism that had plagued the Mustang for many years. While 2010 Mustang parts for the exterior and interior appearance were redesigned, the 2010 Ford Mustang parts under the hood were not changed. The new Mustang carries over the same engines and related 10 Mustang parts, though some tweaks were made to slightly improve performance and comfort. The Shelby GT500KR was dropped. Sales, however, only responded with small increases, to just 73,716 for 2010.

The new exterior design for the 2010 Mustang was smoother, sleeker, and more aerodynamic than the outgoing model, yet also more aggressive. Despite this, Ford did an excellent job of preserving the retrofuturistic look that continued to evolve with modern design trends, while still maintaining the classic style that is intrinsic to the Mustang’s heritage. The taillights were also now of the distinctive sequential design, which had been a popular aftermarket upgrade.

Inside the cabin, things were spruced up considerably. The cockpit received a much-needed refresh, with vastly improved material quality and softness, better layout, and the option to add SYNC on most models. While nobody would mistake the interior for that of a luxury car, the use of more premium components was sorely needed and an oft-requested change from consumers.

Though the engines for the 2010 model year were the same as before, the GT’s motor was revised for increased output. The 4.6L V8 now produced 315hp and 325 lb-ft of torque, utilizing some of the enhancements from the previous year’s Bullitt model. This was a nice little jump in power output but would pale in comparison when the 5.0L V8 returned the following year.
