As the final model year of the S197 generation, the 2014 Mustang had to lot to offer but few changes that were markedly new. There were two new exterior paint colors, Oxford White and Ruby Red Metallic, as well as two new appearance packages called FP6 and FP8. These exterior upgrade groups (offered on the V6 and GT models respectively) included black-painted wheels, black side mirrors, black rear spoiler, and body-color rear window louvers.

Apart from that, it was business as usual for Ford as they prepared for the next generation to arrive. The Boss 302 and Laguna Seca were no longer available, but the GT500 was still around for the 2014 model year. With 662 hp and 631 lb-ft of torque, this incredible machine was the most powerful production Mustang ever built. The California Special package was also still an option for the 2014 Mustang.
