2021 Mustang Parts

With the 2021 Mustang, you’re getting all of the same performance and style as the previous model year. There are a handful of minor option changes and the addition of standard Ford Co-Pilot360, but most aspects of the car are entirely unchanged. This means that it’s as easy as ever to find aftermarket upgrades for your S550. Start creating your wishlist today by browsing the vast variety of mods you can add to your 2021 Mustang.

Ford isn’t changing things up too much for the 7th model year of the S550 generation. Unfortunately, the GT350, GT350R, and Bullitt will no longer be available. The Performance Package Level 2 has also been dropped. However, the new Mustang Mach 1 will serve as a quasi-replacement to slot between the GT and GT500.

2021 Mustang Mach 1

The Mach 1 isn’t as performance-focused as the GT350. However, by sourcing some parts from it, as well as the GT500, it’s more track-ready than the Bullitt was. It uses the same engine as the Bullitt, the 5.0 Coyote with a total output of 480 hp.

With a combination of regular GT and GT350 parts, the Mach 1 is ready to be upgraded in the aftermarket. A handful of mods will bring enormous potential to this trim for those that want to take their Mustang to the track.

2021 Mustang Paint Color Changes

There are some changes to the exterior color lineup. Most of this is due to the addition of the new Mach 1, but we’re also seeing the retirement of Magnetic and Kona Blue. Check out our 2021 Mustang color guide for the full rundown.

2021 Mustang Appearance Mods

The usual array of S550 style mods will be available for the 2021 Mustang as well. With no changes to the body, you can add any appearance upgrade you want. From chin spoilers and rear wings to headlights and louvers, the S550 is a blank slate for the enthusiast.

We’ll see at least one new wheel for 2021, but that’s only with the Black Accent Package. For those that want a change, there are hundreds of aftermarket wheels that look great on the Mustang.

Unfortunately, there is a small change happening with the 2021 Mustang’s side mirror indicators. The integrated side mirror turn signals will no longer be standard with the EcoBoost Premium and GT Premium. They will continue to come included with the 201A and 401A packages. For those that end up without them, aftermarket upgrades can be installed that offer a very similar effect.

2021 Mustang Performance Upgrades

The engine line-up will remain largely the same for the 2021 Mustang. This means that we already have a great idea of the customizability of each motor. The new Mustang Mach 1 uses the same Coyote motor from the outgoing Bullitt, which has 20 additional horsepower over the GT.

Both engines can benefit immensely from a cold air intake and tune. Add in a catback exhaust kit to improve performance and get the sound you want from your Mustang. For those with a GT, a supercharger can bring power up to drag strip levels.

If you got an EcoBoost that didn’t come equipped with the High Performance Package, you can get many of the same parts in the aftermarket. Or, customize your suspension to get exactly what you want.

For enthusiasts wanting to build a Mustang specifically for autocross, suspension parts will be key. This is true for both the GT and EcoBoost. The 2021 Mustang can be optimized with aftermarket shocks/struts, coilovers, springs, and sway bars.
